winter break.

so FINALLY it's the beginning of winter break, and even though we just had thanksgiving break, i feel like i've been waiting for this for hella long. everything has been stressing me out. i feel like i've been pulled too thinly between swimming, water polo, friends, family, homework/studying, and goddamn leadership.

although i've become used to the physical pain and stress swimming and water polo puts me through everyday, i feel like i don't have time to accomplish other things. i can't skip practices to do other things because now that i am a captain, i'm expected to practice 5 times a week. swimming consumes most of my time outside of school, and i've felt my social life diminishing since freshman year. i guess that's the price i hace to pay to o what i love.

omg HOMEWORK. i fail at doing homework. i am the biggest freaking procrastinator in the world. also, this week i had two big test: pre-cal and history. my estimated grades on the tests are C- and A- , respectively. haha. i definitely fail at pre-calculus and i don't even know why i'm in the honors class. i guess it makes my parents happy though.

the worst part about the past few weeks has been leadership. i hate a lot of the people i have to work with. i mean, i don't HATE them, but idefinitely wouldn't mind not working with them. i won't name names but some of them are stupid, some are distracted with their own stupid personal issues, and some of them of them are just plain DUMB. but they ALL have one thing in commmon: STUPIDITY. i hate people... especially when the sophomores have to plan our biggest event of the year: winter ball. this year we are going to have it at the old gym in the interest of saving some money. but yeahh.

to sum it up, i am so glad it's winter vacay and it's definitely good to have a break from some of the things putting strains on me physically and mentally. i hope i get to go to tahoe or something over break, because that'd be nice. :) also, i'm excited for christmas because it's the best time of the year. everyone rushing to do last-minute shopping, beautiful lights at night, starbucks peppermint mocha, the giant tree in union square. i love it all!
