now that water polo is over, i'm hella saddd. i love my team and it makes me sad that it was our seniors' last season. at least it was a better season than last year :) i'm so proud of both our men's and women's water polo teams. the women's polo team finished 3rd in the league, ehich is much better than last year. our men's polo team came in 1st in the league (of course!) and went on to play in NCS. it was amazing.
i met so many more people this polo season, probably because i felt a little more confident on the team, thus making me more outgoing? i don't know, i'm weird. i also became closer with a lot of people on the team for the same reason. like i said, i really really love my team as a whole (because i really don't like a few of my teammates) and i feel like every practice, every game, and every tournament were times for us to bond as a team. and i'm glad for that :)
there were 3 freshmen who came in to play for us, but i kind of wish there were more, just so we could have more future players after my class graduates because there are so many sophomores on the team. there were also 3 seniors on our team: marlena, becca, and koki. i love them with all of my heart. i have grown up with these three with club swimming and it's sad to see them as seniors already. i guess it just means that it's a matter of time before i become a senior and i'm leaving the team. :(
overall, this season was definitely the better of the two season's i've had. and i'm ready for better seasons to come. honestly i've always liked polo season better than swim season, because a smaller team allows for better bonding, and i really can't stress enough how much I LOVE MY TEAM. <3
